ONE of the region’s best-loved tribute bands have announced a show later this year.
Classic Clapton will perform at the Gala Theatre in Durham on October 27.
The band are performing a sell-out show at the same venue next week under their alternative guise After Midnight, appearing alongside The Fixx in a charity gig for St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
They will return with their Eric Clapton tribute show, performing classics including Wonderful Tonight, Tears in Heaven, Crossroads, I Shot The Sheriff, Lay Down Sally, Cocaine and of course Layla.
Durham-born frontman Mike Hall, an ex-Durham Johnston School pupil, will be joined by Paul Warren on keyboards, drummer Danny Davison and Dave Robson, a former member of Geordie, on bass.
Tickets priced £15 are available from the box office on 03000 266600 or galadurham.co.uk
